Financial Requirements for International Applicants
Rhema Bible Training Center is authorized to host M-1 visa students. Part of the restriction on an M-1 visa student is that they are not allowed to work during their stay. Because of this, the U.S. Immigration Service requires M-1 visa holders to have all their tuition and living expenses on deposit before they receive their visa.
For a single person, the required amount is $16,000. For a married couple (one spouse attending school), the amount is $20,000 with an additional $2,000 for each dependent child in the family. This is a requirement. There are no exceptions.
Do you have scholarships for international students?
RBTC does not offer scholarships or financial aid to students or applicants and housing and living expenses are the responsibility of the student as well.
Green Cards
You are welcome to apply with a green card but your card must not expire before the end of your schooling. You will need to include a copy of this card both front and back with your application.
When is the deadline to apply for RHEMA?
July 1st is the deadline for all international applications to be in our office due to the time required to process them and work with the U.S. Immigration Department.
How do I obtain an international application?
You can download a 1st Year INTERNATIONAL application and evaluation forms.
You can download a 2nd Year INTERNATIONAL application and evaluation forms.
Please make sure that you fill out an INTERNATIONAL application. You are required to complete the application in your own handwriting and not have another individual do it for you. This helps us to judge the level of your English proficiency.
In order to process your application we will need the following: your application, $60 application fee, 1 pastor’s recommendation, 2 personal recommendation, and an official financial document on bank letterhead with a current date showing the required amount on deposit in U.S. funds. Once we receive all the necessary documents, we will begin processing your application.
Mail these documents to:

Do you have interpreters for each class?
RHEMA classes in the United States are only taught in English, therefore it is necessary that you are able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. We do not offer any type of English prep classes for international students. If you are not confident in your present proficiency level, we encourage you to pursue obtaining a higher skill level before applying.
